Here is a really cool video that I would recommend watching. It's a bit long, but Edward Said is hugely famous for his book Orientalism. I think it's amazing to hear him speak about the subject, that is so often forgotten. Especially going into the Orient (that being Africa & the East, not specifically Asia) myself, it's interesting to reflect on my own images of these peoples and cultures that are often generalized and made exotic.
