Modern Art at Centre Pompidou

Colorful pieces outside
I spent this afternoon with Megan, my fellow art history major and friend, at Centre Pompidou. Pompidou is where the Musée National de l'Art Modern is located. So we spent hours wandering through the two floors of modern and contemporary art seeing some favorites, spying pieces we've learned about in class, and discovering things we'd never seen before. It's a great museum and I don't know how on earth I had yet to go there, but I'm happy I found a way to fit it in before I leave.

Neon is very 'in' in the art world at the moment
Playing with light and shadows
Some seriously awesome Matisse
Kandinsky
And a good classic: Piet Mondrian
