Annecy

Lac Annecy

Yesterday I took the train up to Annecy to spend the day there with my friend. Located about an hour north (close to Switzerland), Lake Annecy is quite large and was beautifully lit with sunlight the whole afternoon.

 We explored the canals and narrow streets of the old village. Yesterday was a national holiday (though, most day in May are) and so the streets were full of those also taking advantage of this day off.  After what does not deserve to be called lunch, (because we accidentally walked into the wrong restaurant and couldn't afford their food so we only ordered cheese and wine and were judged for it) the two of us went to one of the many parks surrounding the lake and sat out in the sun until it was time to get back to the train station.
