Should have taken a picture of the sculptures...but it didn't feel right. Instead, the artist and his wife. |
It's been grey and raining since I woke up this morning. Not feeling particularly motivated, but also not wanting to sit inside all day staring at my computer screen, I decided to spend the morning walking around town. Looking for new stores and interesting street art that pops up here often. The success of the day was finding a used version of the French book I had been looking for. After perusing the English language section in my favorite bookstore, I headed over to the Musée de Grenoble to see the Giacometti exhibit that's currently on show. I especially enjoyed it since I got in for free (which I wasn't expecting) and the huge school groups were leaving just as I walked in. I got to enjoy the monumental and the minuscule pieces in silence, adding to how still and sterile the exhibit felt. It's quite nice having a weekday that is class-free. It makes museum going that much sweeter.
