La Neige

Tram stop on campus- with the Chartreuses in the background
It's been snowing here in Grenoble the last few days, and it's absolutely gorgeous. I think I'll get a chance to head up the mountains soon. Tonight, after dinner and a quick video chat with my dad, I sat down to watch TV with my host family. And as we watched a program on the production of wine and armagnac in southern France, my host father decided I needed to taste cognac. And taste cognac we did (only a teeny glass, of course). They taught me how to heat the glass and the cognac with my hands and kept saying, "Smell! Smell! It's just as important as the taste!" It was very fun and such an utterly French ending to my night.
