Grenoblah.

Place Saint-André
More fun snow in Grenoble! It's been ridiculously cold, but beautifully snowy this last week. I want to go on lots of walks to look at the snow, but then I don't because I like being warm. Or my walks end abruptly with a stop in at a café. The picture above is of Place Saint-André. The statue is of a man named Bayard and I wish I could remember the name of the church. But! The café in the bottom left corner is the second oldest café in France. These are the special things we have here.

This week went rather well. Real classes started. We went to all the options and have until Tuesday to choose the courses we're going to actually attend and follow. I'm leaning towards art history, history and literature- no surprises there. Today I had a grammar course in the morning, which was followed by coffee with our professor from Seattle and then lunch in town with two friends at a delicious pizzeria. I'm planning on hitting every café/bistro/restaurant in town. I think it's possible and I'm up for it. But is my wallet? And, no exciting plans this weekend. Hopefully I'll just get to relax and eat more delicious food...comme d'habitude.

On an announcementy note: here's a link to a good online Translation/Dictionary, since I know my mom (and others) complain about not understanding my spurts of français. It'll be on the right side of the blog from now on.

Bisous! À plus!
