Uppsala- New Year's Eve |
Happy New Year everyone! We celebrated up here in Sweden with a nice day in town. We walked all around Uppsala, a little disappointed that all the snow had melted. It's been a bit warmer the last few days which means it's been raining and slippery. But the scenery is still beautiful, albeit brown. We didn't stay in town long because all of the museums we had planned on stopping by were closed for the day. Maybe we'll hit them tomorrow. Dinner and drinks started back at Thea's in Flogsta where we video chatted my family, before taking the bus back into town for a nation New Year party at Snerikes. There was lots of dancing and fireworks at midnight. We had a really great time all together and brought in the New Year with a bang. And then today, we were completely unproductive and sat in bed all day eating kanelbulle and watching Klovn (a ridiculous and hilarious Danish show) and other movies.
Tomorrow is my last day here. I'm very sad to be leaving. It's the beginning of new adventures back in France, and all over really, but I'm a bit down knowing I won't see Al and Thea for a long time after this and that I'm still 6 months away from being home. And Sweden is just beautiful and so colorful. I'll miss it a lot.
