The First Goodbyes

Ah. This week has been both stressful and surprisingly light. I've had 5 finals (and am now finished!) which required some level of studying. Though really, I must admit, my courses here aren't exactly that time consuming. This morning was our final exam and then I stayed on campus and had tea with a friend before our final preparation class before Morocco. We were joined by Paul, one of the Seattle professors who is back for the trip.

This evening we had a delicious dinner with our program leaders and the entire Seattle group to say goodbye and thank you to our magical French director. She was so sweet and gave each and every one of us a bisous goodbye. Dinner was interesting and a nice time to reflect on our time here together and how so much has changed. We shared host family stories, talked about our first impressions, and how less than five months ago none of us were very close (for me that is, since I wasn't there for the collective class in the Fall).

And now, I've only got a few last minute things to finish before heading off!
