| Monastère de la Grande Chartreuse |
Bon dimanche! Yesterday I went to the Chartreuse Monastery with my professor and a few classmates. It was a gorgeous winding drive up into the Chartreuse mountain range, but sadly our view was completely obscured by the heavy fog. It got so dense at one point that on the walk to the actual monastery we couldn't see the people just about 20 feet ahead of us. This means seeing the buildings was almost impossible, but the museum was enjoyable and we learned a bit about the sect of monks that live in this secluded monastery.
In between Grenoble and Chartreuse we stopped at a church filled with artwork by Arcabas. The colors of the canvases filled the church with a rainbow representation of the Bible. I thought it was fantastic.
