Last night I took the less than two minute walk over to the Le Ciel to see Eugene McGuinness. A musician/band I'm quite a fan of, so I was shocked when I heard his tour was coming through Grenoble. And to make it even sweeter, the venue is literally around the corner from my apartment. It was really fun and he sounded good live. The only downside was 1) I ended up having to go by myself and 2) he definitely did not play for long enough. Barely an hour. I guess that makes sense since there was no opening act, but I was completely taken aback when he announced his last song.
