Thea in Paris!

Thea's here!
Thea is finally in Paris! YEAH! She got in on the train from Milan today and we met in front of Notre Dame. I had class and couldn't meet her, so I sent her out walking and she tells me she saw lots before meeting me. I had a moment of panic, when I realized I told her to wait for me at the Joan of Arc statue in front of Notre Dame, when in fact, there is not statue of her there, but a statue of Charlemagne. We found each other anyway, but for about ten minutes I was wondering how I would deal with losing Thea. Who do I call first to start a search party? But thankfully she understood my slight lapse in brain power and figured I just meant the big statue of the person on a horse.

From Notre Dame I took her home to drop her things off and then we went straight to the Eiffel Tower. She had come from visiting Milan bearing heaps and heaps of chocolate, so we sat next to the Trocadero fountain and ate chocolate while waiting for the tower to sparkle. After about an hour sitting in awe, I showed her a bit of my neighborhood while we picked up groceries and headed home to make dinner. Just a simple meal with wine and oranges and chocolate for dessert. We're both just ridiculously excited to see each other again and have been having a great night. I can't wait to show her around Paris! But since I have class tomorrow, I'm sending her off on her own to explore for a few hours.
