Overall, this week has been good and bad. My classes are going well and I'm starting to feel really comfortable listening to French. I'm understanding my professors for the most part, which is encouraging. And we went up the Eiffel Tower with the program on Wednesday. It was cold and rainy, but the tower started sparkling just as we got to the second floor! I've been feeling a little homesick and lonely- especially after going off and spending time with Thea. But tomorrow I'm off to the south of France to enjoy some sunshine and lots of beautiful sights. We're going to Perpignan, Roussillon with our program. It's on the Côte d'Azur (Mediterranean) close to Spain. I know absolutely nothing about the area, so I'm eager to learn and see a whole new aspect of France. Here are some shots from this week:
